Gary Miller of Miller Wine Works has a passion for flavors and wine that have led him to the heart of Gold Country. Gary started his career at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York. He then perfected his talent and palette for delicious flavorful food and beautiful wine in world class restaurants, eventually landing in Napa Valley. When the time came to begin making his own wine Gary found himself drawn to Rhone varietals, “wines drunk at the tables of real people having dinner rather than collected in a rarified atmosphere”. The desire to make beautiful wine that would pair with everyday food brought Gary to Amador County and The Sutter Creek Cheese Shoppe.

In the midst of harvest and the change of season there is an abundance of flavors and colors to create delicious food that speaks to the synergy between farms, wineries and the growing farm to fork movement.
Gary is creating dishes that compliment his award winning wines, and showcase what Amador County farms offer each season.
